FAQ
Yes. I think you should be able to print off as many pictures of yourself as you like. Some photographers do not allow customers to print their own photographs in fear that the resulting images may not look the way the photographer intended, thus tarnishing the photographers’ reputation. When you are booking Tom Adamczyk Photography for a photo session, I make it clear that all printers use slightly different technology, so that resulting pictures are slightly different. Will you see a difference between Walgreens and CVS prints? Probably not. Will you difference between professional prints done on professional archival paper and Walgreens or CVS prints? YES, YES, YES.
Yes. The prints I can offer you will do done by a professional print shop on high quality archival paper. These prints are of much higher quality, then those found at your local consumer print shops. There are variety of papers that you can choose from, including once with metallic look to them and special black and white paper. These are highly recommended by me, but note, they are quite bit more expansive than regular photo prints from your local store. If quality is your number one aspect, you might want to use my printing service. NOTE: As with all digital photographs, cropping will occurs with almost all sizes of enlargements. Size ratio of the camera sensor is different from the size ratio of the printing paper, so when you print yourself make sure that you go through each picture for each size that you will be printing and check to make sure that you are not cutting off parts of the pictures you might want to see.
I have professional grade Canon DSLR with an assortment of lenses and flashes, each suitable for different type of photography.
No. Some will argue that film still produces the best results, i.e. best image quality; however the advancements in digital technology in the past few years, made the digital and film capture very much equivalent to each other.
Two reasons: black and white conversion technique and the paper. When I convert my photos to black and white I go through selective color desaturation (without giving away too many secrets, I reduce each color intensity individually, where as the programs you use on your computer or the CVS or Walgreens take all color out evenly.) Also my prints are done on a professional black and white paper only with an amazing range of grayscale.
About 2-4 weeks for the CD/DVD. Well, it is true that you can put pictures from digital camera on the computer or a disk and be done with it. But if I did that, you would not want me as your photographer. You mind as well ask “uncle Bob” to come with his fancy camera and photograph your wedding. But you are here looking for a professional photographer for a good reason. It’s a common misconception that digital photographers have no post processing in their work flow. The TRUTH is that for every hour of photography we have two hours or more of post processing. The files that my camera generates are unprocessed RAW files that need all of the processing done to them before a computer can display them properly. I control all of the tone, contrast, color, sharpness, brightness, clarity, cropping and just about every aspect of a photograph you can think about. Each picture is slightly different and each picture has to be treated on individual basis, and that is what takes most of the time for the photographer. It’s the work that you do not see that takes the most time. 7. How about those fancy new Flush Mount, Layflat albums, photobooks, parent albums, do you offer those? Yes, please see PRICING for all the details or give me a call (586-945-4153) or drop an e-mail (info@tomadamczyk.com) |
